Pleasant Harbor Hydroflight: Up, Up And Away

jetboard, jetpack and jetbike
UP, UP, AND AWAY — Next time you are at Pleasant Harbor on the eastern shores of Lake Pleasant, you will want to look up. Most days in the marina cove by Dillon’s Bayou restaurant, you are likely to see people hydroflying, hoisted up as much as 30 feet in the air thanks to water pulsating through a long hose.

Pleasant Harbor Hydroflight at Lake Pleasant is a great way to enjoy the water.

People on the shore can’t help but watch this futuristic fun while those who sign up for hydroflight report they can’t get enough.  On one end, the 80-foot firehouse is attached to a jet ski and on the other, to a jetboard, jetpack or hydrobike.

Once the jet ski throttle is engaged, water is pushed through the hose, driving the apparatus and user into the air.  Clint Page, manager at Pleasant Harbor Boat Rentals, indicates that most people can pick up hydroflight in a quick 10-minute orientation.  With warmer water temperatures at Lake Pleasant, this is a perfect time to give hydroflight a try.

Flyers for the jetpack and/or jetboard, must be at least 14 years of age.  For the jetbike, flyers must be 18 years of age.  However, over the years, Pleasant Harbor has hosted flyers from 14 – 80 years of age, with most people up and flying within 5 minutes after their orientation session.

Cost for this futuristic fun is reasonable, with a single apparatus flight running a minimum of 30 minutes.  The session includes a 10-minute orientation and 20-minute flight and runs $45.00.

A 2-device flight runs a minimum of 45 minutes with a 15-minute orientation and 30-minute flight.  This 2-part hydro device flight runs $75.00. Pleasant Harbor does take reservation for flight and interested flyers can call 928-501-5101 or visit https://boats4rent.com/pleasant-harbor-az/.

Pleasant Harbor Marina and RV Resort is the closest entrance to Lake Pleasant and is open 365 days a year.  Pleasant Harbor is home to the Lake Pleasant cruise ship, The Phoenix, as well as a full-service marina, 253-space RV Resort and Dillon’s Bayou restaurant.
