Raptors At The Rails
By partnering with Phoenix’s Liberty Wildlife the Verde Canyon Railroad provides visitors an opportunity for a close-up glimpse of raptors such as hawks, owls, falcons, vultures and eagles at the depot. Once or twice a month, Liberty volunteers will share several rescued educational animals, and fascinating information about each species, with passengers on the patio, from 11:00am until 12:45pm, prior to the train’s 1:00pm departure. All are welcome. In June, July and August the program features Reptiles at the Rails, cold-blooded creatures who savor the summer.

Easter Bunny Express
The “hoppiest” celebration at Verde Canyon Railroad is the Easter Bunny Express. So that everyone will be home to celebrate Easter, the honorable hare will spend his last day off before the big event, Saturday, March 30th, visiting with everyone at Verde Canyon Railroad. The Easter Bunny loves sharing handfuls of wrapped treats and posing for keepsake family photos before bidding farewell to everyone on the train as it departs at 1 p.m..The Easter fun keeps going on-board with a winner-take-all lollipop counting contest.
