Outdoor Recreation, Motorsports Take Center Stage At Sand-Water-RV Expo
The fall outdoor recreation season is just around the corner. That means Southwest residents and vacationing visitors alike are prepping to enjoy a plethora of desert, mountain and water opportunities close by.
Boats, Of Course, And Much More
To enhance the annual kick-off celebration of approaching winter, the Sand-Water-RV Expo, the premier outdoor recreation and motorsports show in Arizona, returns to Lake Havasu City, Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 17-18 for its seventh consecutive year. And again, the Expo will deliver over 130 exhibitors and vendors eager to display everything for the coming season including the newest and greatest in off-road vehicles, trucks, RVs, travel trailers, fifth wheels, toy haulers, boats, pontoons, motorcycles and all related accessories and services.
For Wilderness Lovers
One new aspect of the Expo this year is the presence of multiple brands of rugged exploration camping trailers. These trailers are not your ordinary hitch and go cruise the paved highways style used for conventional outdoor getaways, not in the least.
Models from Lead Dog Motorsports, Adventure Trailers and Black Series Campers open a whole new vista of camping opportunities in the rugged outdoors where traditional trailers dare not go. Thanks to oversized tires, compact functionality, and extra sturdy construction, this new breed of trailers is an adventure-seeking wilderness lovers’ delight.
On The Water
On-the-water, kayakers, paddleboarders and Hobie Cat sailors will also seek their own form of adventure during the two-day Lake Havasu Paddlefest which is part of the Sand-Water-RV Expo on Windsor 4 beach. Paddlefest welcomes all non-motorized craft to join in for a weekend of games, activities, demos, and instructions.
For participant convenience, dry camping is also available on-site. Event pre-registration is strongly recommended.
Cornhole Not Forgotten
And let’s not forget cornhole, one of the fastest-growing participant sports in the country, a game that can be enjoyed by any age and gender. KB Kornhole Games of Mesa, Arizona is organizing and presiding over the Lake Havasu Fall Cornhole Championship tournament for teams (doubles) on Saturday, Nov. 17 offering two skill levels of competition, one for “social” players and the other for “experienced” competitors. Entry registration is available at http://www.kbkornhole.com/lakehavasu.

A portion of Expo ticket sales will be donated to PVA.
