HOLIDAY SEASON 2018

Ahoy, Fellow Pirates!

Merry Christmas, Happy All Holidays, and a Wonderful New Year to the YHS Class of 1957!

This will be my last Pirate Press until 2019, but I wanted to send best wishes to you during this beautiful holiday season.

As you know, plans are made for our next meeting (Reunion #62!), and I will begin now taking reservations from those of you who are planning to attend. Please email me with a YES, NO, or MAYBE, so I can begin to get an idea of numbers.

At present, there is no charge, but depending on mailing costs and number attending, there may be a $12 per person charge for the VFW Post to provide snacks and all the “fixin’s”. (We are keeping this reunion as simple and casual as possible with no formal meal or program – just a chance to visit and share our stories [and “munch” on appetizers as we do] and remember those who have sailed on to other seas).

I do need your help with this as I have neither email nor mailing addresses for everyone in our class. Please spread the word and let me know — even now — if you probably will attend (and how many with you?). My email is editor@azbw.com (mailing address: 7620 E. A Repeat of Some Details 

When: Saturday, September 28, 2019 from 5-8 p.m.

Where:  VFW in Yakima — 118 S 5th Ave , Yakima, Washington 98902,  (509) 457-5400. (The Post is very close to our alma mater.)

And if you are interested in other details, here are the Post’s prices I requested:

• Coffee, Tea, Well Soda  $2.00
• Well Drinks  $4.25
• Domestic Drafts  $3.50
• Domestic Bottles  $3.75
• Domestic Cans  $3.00
• IPA Drafts  $5.50
• Import Bottles  $4.50
• Wine  $4.25  glass
• Food:  Cheese, Crackers, Fruit, Veggies, Chips & Dip, Cookies, etc.  $12.00 per person (includes plates, napkins, utensils, etc.)

Finally, I want to TRY to arrange this reunion so that there will be no charge for you to attend (PERHAPS with the exception of $12 per person for the snack trays, but we’ll know more later about that possibility).

Most important, please let me know if you have suggestions or questions. And, any local Pirate who wants to help with this, he or she would be most welcome.
