JUST PART OF THE STORY -- One of three vintage Chris-Crafts that are part of the public-relations story for the "Rock The Boat" project. Each is in various stages of refurbishing, but all have the same message to convey: Support Superstition Search & Rescue.

THE STORY BEHIND Rock The Boat

Rock The Boat is a renovation project of three classic boats — a 1952 43’ Chris-Craft tri-cabin bay cruiser and two 1984 21’ Chris-Craft Scorpions.

The project is being filmed, and the goal is to have the show aired on television. The production of this show is being done by The Art Institute of Phoenix students, Jim and Carol Allen of Arizona Boating & Watersports news magazine who donated the bay cruiser, and a host of boating enthusiasts who will be donating all the time, labor and materials.

Upon completion of the bay cruiser, it will be auctioned off, and the entire proceeds will be donated to Superstition Search & Rescue, a non-profit group dedicated to saving lives in the mountains, desert, and on the water.

Check this Web site (www.rtboat.com) as we document the process, talk to the people involved and watch a group of highly talented students produce a documentary that will eventually help save the lives of many.
