Two Women Injured In PWC Crash At Lake Havasu

AZBW NEWS SERVICE — Two women were injured April 19 in the crash of two personal watercraft on Lake Havasu.

At approximately 4:50 p.m. Mohave County sheriff’s deputies responded to an accident in the South Basin just south of Thompson Bay.

Sheriff’s spokeswoman Patricia Carter said that Allison Kohler, 20, of Murrieta Ca., was the operator and only occupant of one of the PWC.

The second PWC was operated by Lisa Marie Kohler-Allen, 42, of Murrieta with passenger Barbara Allison, 64, of Surprise, onboard, Carter said.

Allison Kohler was uninjured from the accident.

Kohler-Allen and Allison were transported to Lake Havasu Regional Medical Center by ambulance. Kohler-Allen was treated and released, Carter said.

Barbara Allison was later airlifted to Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas and was listed in good condition, Carter said.

A man passing by in a boat brought all three women aboard and transported them to land.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor, Carter said.

This accident is under investigation.
