Southwest Connection Takes Arizona Boaters To The Sea

By Jennifer Donahue

For MarineMax

Living in the desert is no longer a reason for Arizona boaters to deny themselves the pleasure of coastal boating. Arizona boaters looking to purchase a cruiser, yacht, or sport yacht need look no further than the MarineMax Southwest Connection.

MarineMax’s Southwest Connection program was created to help customers living in Arizona take advantage of San Diego boating by utilizing the company’s sister dealership in San Diego.

"We have a number of MarineMax customers from Arizona looking to purchase cruisers and yachts for boating in San Diego," says Mark P. White, general manager of MarineMax San Diego. "With the Southwest Connection program, Arizona boaters can purchase their new yachts from either MarineMax Arizona or San Diego to take advantage of San Diego’s extensive cruiser, yacht and sport yacht inventory, plus avoid any transportation charges to California."

Many boaters have established relationships with their local MarineMax Arizona team members but spend a great deal of time boating in San Diego. The Southwest Connection allows them to work with familiar faces while purchasing larger yachts for their coastal boating adventures.

"With the soaring cost of real estate in San Diego, many Arizona boaters enjoy the flexibility of using their yachts or cruisers as vacation homes on the water," says Wendy Fisher, MarineMax’s Southwest Region marketing coordinator. "With the Southwest Connection, it’s never been easier for owners to get their new boats to San Diego and start enjoying the California boating lifestyle."

As a part of the Southwest Connection program, owners are eligible to participate in all California Getaway events while they are there. Getaways offer fantastic opportunities to head out with a flotilla while taking in some of the spectacular Pacific Coast scenery and enjoying the camaraderie of fellow boaters.

Arizona boaters have discovered the allure of exploring the state’s beautiful mountains and lakes, but everyone needs a change of scenery now and then. For customers seeking to take advantage of MarineMax San Diego’s extensive cruiser and yacht selection, the Southwest Connection program allows boaters to have the best of both worlds and take safely to the sea in San Diego – without the hassle of making shipping arrangements for their new boat.

The Connections program is also available at other MarineMax locations throughout the country including Las Vegas, Colorado, Utah, and Northern California. And in any location, owners can be comfortable knowing that they are fully supported by the MarineMax team, dedicated to helping each and every customer deliver his or her own boating dream.
