Bass Tourneys Continue Through September

Tournament Results Mid-July Through Mid-August 2006

All Star Bass Summer Nites

The July 29th tournament at Roosevelt Lake was won by Mark and Pat McCarville. They weighed in 21.35 pounds and took home $1,185.

Gifford Branden and Todd Herman won at Roosevelt on Aug. 5 with 23.36 pounds. They split a total of $1,987.50, and caught their fish on Texas-rigged worms fished on main lake points in the Tonto end of the lake.

American Bass Pleasant Summer Nights

On July 29 at Lake Pleasant, Ben Koller and Kevin Caruso took home $2,744 for their first-place win. The two weighed in 14.9 pounds total.

On Aug. 12, Charlie Crawford and Paul Hodges took first-place honors and $2,634 at Pleasant with a sack that weighed 21.86 pounds.

MidWeek Bass Anglers

On Aug. 9, Terry Tassin and Ron Pikul won the MidWeek tournament at Pleasant with five fish for 9.52 pounds. They split $300 for their win.

September is the month for championships for most of the circuits. These are open only to anglers who have qualified by fishing throughout the season. The new 2006-2007 season tournaments typically begin in October, and we’ll get those to you in the next issue of Arizona Boating & Watersports.
