RVers Ramble In Casa Grande

The Family Motor Coach Association (FMCA), a not-for-profit international organization for families who own and enjoy the recreational use of motor homes, is pleased to announce that the 23rd annual "Rocky Mountain Ramble" will be held at the Pinal County Fairgrounds, Casa Grande, Ariz., Oct. 12-14, 2005. We invite and encourage the public to attend this ramble.

FMCA was founded in 1963 and has grown today to an active membership in excess of 125,000 representing over 400 local chapters throughout all areas of the United States and Canada. In addition, over 2,000 companies are active commercial members of FMCA.

FMCA maintains its national offices in Cincinnati, Ohio, and serves the membership through both volunteer leadership and a professional, full-time staff. All members subscribe to a code of ethics that endeavors to promote good citizenship.

The Rocky Mountain Area of FMCA is hosting its 23rd annual ‘Ramble’ at the Pinal County Fairgrounds and anticipates 500+ family member motor coaches to be in attendance from throughout the United States and Canada.

The three-day event will include seminars on topics of interest to RVers, vendor offerings of products and services supportive of the RV lifestyle, new and used motor-home offerings by leading Tucson and Phoenix-Mesa area dealers (at least 75, some large, some small, some huge with four slides), live entertainment, and generally an exchange of motor-home information that is of common interest to those involved in, or considering, the motor-coach lifestyle.

According to Jane Battey of FMCA, "the units are all self-contained. Some have two bathrooms, a couple of big TVs, and even fireplaces. The small models are really well designed and compact with everything you need to have a good time."

Battey adds, "Some of the best parts of this lifestyle are the great people you meet and lasting friendships you can make. Besides putting these rambles on for our own area — the Rocky Mountain area — we also really enjoy having the people come from the surrounding communities because we hope that they will be encouraged to try an RV — for weekend travel, family time, or for future retirement, and for some who end up traveling full time.

"This is a huge country and RVing is a great way to see it! [It’s also a great way to see neighboring countries like Canada and Mexico as well."

We welcome the public to come to the fairgrounds during the "Ramble" to explore the RV lifestyle. Everyone should visit the RVs that are on display from many local dealers – they range in size and style to fit a variety of budgets and types of travel.

There will be a selection of manufacturers. Vendors inside the largest building will be displaying and selling all sorts of RV equipment, clothes, and supplies. We hope everybody will enjoy the food booths, learn more about FMCA, and meet some great folks who are visiting the friendly city of Casa Grande and the state of Arizona!

Parking is free, and the gate fee is $5 per person. Gates open daily at 8:30 a.m., and vendors and RV dealers are open until 4:30 p.m.
