Arizona Loses A Great Outdoors Communicator

In mid-October, Arizona outdoors enthusiasts lost a great spokesman: Bob Hirsch, 80. He was one of the more prolific and successful outdoor writers in the country. Mr. Hirsch’s amazing freelance career included being the outdoor columnist for the Arizona Republicand author of many books on fishing and the outdoors.

Mr. Hirsch was the first host for the radio program “Escape To The Outdoors” and later for the national radio program “The World of Ducks Unlimited.”

He was a member of OWAA and SEOPA. Mr. Hirsch is missed by all who knew him.
