Second Annual ‘Discover Glen Canyon’ Photo Contest Announced

PAGE, Ariz. – Do you have a favorite photo you took while visiting Glen Canyon
National Recreation Area?  If so, you could have your photo featured on next year’s annual entrance pass!

The winning photo will be featured on Glen Canyon’s annual park entrance pass.  Second and third place photos will also be announced and displayed on the park’s Web site.  Winners will be chosen by a panel of National Park Service employees and community leaders.

This is the second park pass photo contest at Glen Canyon National
Recreation Area.  Sharon Simmons, of New Boston, N.H., won last year’s contest with a photo of red rock cliffs reflected in Lake Powell titled, “Peaceful Reflections.”

Individuals may submit photos featuring any aspect of Glen Canyon National
Recreation Area.  Photos could be of boaters, anglers, or kayakers enjoying Lake Powell, hikers in narrow canyons, wildlife, or simply beautiful landscapes. 

Photos must be taken within Glen Canyon National Recreation Area.
