SEA AND AIR -- The Sea & Air Parade sets sail Saturday, May 3 on San Diego Bay at 10:30 a.m.  This free, family friendly event is the kickoff for Fleet Week San Diego, which pays tribute to San Diego’s military throughout the year. The parade will precede the 1 p.m. Red Bull Air Race World Series. The Sea & Air Parade is expected to draw spectators down to the Embarcadero and the San Diego Bay where the U.S. Navy will display six warships and 14 aircraft, an impressive array of military equipment.  The six ships include one Cruiser, one Frigate, two Destroyers and two Amphibious ships. This year two tall ships are added – Californian and  HMS Surprise.  The show will start at approximately 11 a.m. and the naval ships will pass “show center” between USS Midway and Seaport Village at approximately 11:30 a.m.  Between noon and 1 p.m. the tall ships will engage in an exciting and thunderous mock battle
