Dragon Boats Return To Tempe Town Lake

The fourth annual Dragon Boat Festival comes to Tempe Town Lake on March 24 and 25. In association with the Arizona Dragon Boat Association, the festival committee celebrates the return of paddlers to the lake for the start of the Western season.

The groups continue to make good progress in their promotion of dragon boating in Arizona.

This year there are several changes for the festival. The location is now on the north side of the lake, its new permanent home beside the City of Tempe rowing marina. The association is hopeful that this will give more visibility to the races, along with a chance for more creativity at the site.

Also this year, Waters Edge from Canada will host the first paddlers’ clinic in Tempe.
