On Fish! By John Anderson April 16-19: The Stren/FLW Western Clear Lake Tournament was won by Philip Garcia of Yuba City, Calif.,with a four-day total of 73 pounds, 10 ounces. Garcia’s win netted him $25,000. Amateur Scott Sweet of Chatsworth, Calif., brought over 62 pounds to the scales and took home $5,000 plus a Ranger boat and trailer. April 18: Brian Severson and John Osborn won the MBC Super Team Tournament at Roosevelt Lake and received $3,185 for their 17.86-pound sack. April 19: The Anglers Choice S. Colorado River Division at Havasu was won by Joe Pena and Dan Head with 21.02 pounds, good for a $2,180 check. April 19: The Anglers Choice North Lake Powell at Bullfrog meant $1,070 for winners Johnny Parks and Kurt Palmer. They weighed 14.68 pounds. April 19: Brian and Debbie Carnahan win the MBC Super Team Tournament at Roosevelt Lake with 17.66 pounds including their 2nd Place Big Fish at 7.16. They won $3,286. April 19: Ron Raynor and Jimmy Sullivan won the Anglers Choice Colorado River Tournament at Lake Mead with 14.55 pounds, good for $3,825. April 20: Mike Rooke and Shaun Bailey weighed 15.46 pounds to win $1,600 at the 100% BASS at Havasu. April 20: Brent Lake and Steve Chadwick won $1,270 at the Anglers Choice Lake Powell Tournament at Bullfrog Marina with 12.68 pounds April 26: K.Howden and G.Understiller won $4,080 at the Best Bet at Alamo Lake. April 26: Shura and Cook won $3,000 at the JackAZ Bass Tournament at San Carlos with 21.34 pounds. April 26: Tim Townsley and Jim Patterson won the MBC Pro-Am at Roosevelt Lake with 15.46 pounds, including Tim’s first-place big fish of 7.12 pounds. Tim and Jim took home a combined total of $2,061. April 26: Al and Debbie Swapp weighed in 9.40 with Debbie’s second-place big fish at 5.32 pounds. They took home $704. May 3: Clayton Ross and Guy Zamudio won the MBC Senior Team Tournament at Pleasant with 12.15 pounds, good for $2,760. May 3: Kreuzer and Behrens won $1,830 at the ABF Tournament at San Carlos with 11.78 pounds. May 4: Mike and Clint Goodwin Clint Goodwin brought 16.67 pounds to the scales and took home $1,100 at the 100% BASS at Havasu. May 10: T. Jonovich and K. Knutson won $3,195 at the AllStar Teams at Pleasant. May 10: Terry Johnson and Terry Robertson took first place at the MBC Pro-Am at Pleasant with 8.41 pounds and took home $718.
