June 2007 Arizona Bass Fishing Tournaments

Typically, this is the time of year that everyone goes to night tournaments. 

June 2: Mead at Calville Anglers’ Choice
June 9:  Pleasant at the marina MBC night tournament
June 9: Havasu Anglers’ Choice
June 9–10: WON Bass at Clear Lake
June 16: Roosevelt at Badger Anglers’ Choice
June 17: Roosevelt at Badger Anglers’ Choice
June 16: Bartlett - Main Ramp 5pm-1am JackAZ Bass night tournament
June 20: Bartlett Mid-Week Bass Anglers
June 23: Pleasant at the marina MBC night tournament

Mid-April To Mid-May Tournament Results

April 14-15:  Marc Knudsen won the WON Bass tournament at Lake Mead with a two-day total of 25.47 pounds. 

April 15:  Steve Smith and Gene Covello won $1,965 at the Anglers’ Choice tournament at Lake Mead.  They weighed in 17.38 pounds.

April 18: Terry Tassin and John Barret won the Mid-Week Bass tournament at Bartlett with 9.53 pounds and took home $504.
 
April 21:  Moses Mohuahi and Stephen Camden took first place at the Anglers’ Choice Colorado River Division Mead at Callville with 15.35 pounds.  Their checks totaled $3,205.

April 21:  Debbie and Brain Carnahan won the MBC Super Teams at Roosevelt Lake with 17.06 pounds and received checks totaling $4,271.

April 21: Andy Shelton of Tonto Basin and Rod Nelson of Buckeye teamed up to win the AllStar Bass Team Tournament held at Roosevelt Lake. The pair weighed a six-bass limit totaling 12.64 pounds to win $4,700 from more than $10,000 in cash and merchandise prizes.  They fished topwater lures and jigs on points in both Tonto Creek and Salt River arms of the lake. Their limit included a 3.53-pounder

April 21: Bob Horn and Tim Smith won $4,640 including $1,000 in SKEETER REEL MONEY at the National Bass West tournament at Havasu.  Their sack weighed in at 17.42 pounds.
 
April 21:  Donnie and Ralph Smith won $1,435 at the WON Bass Tournament at Lake Powell at Bullfrog Marina with a sack weighing exactly 14 pounds.

April 22: Bill and Kay Carlquist took first with 18.36 pounds at the WON Bass Lake Powell tournament at Bullfrog Marina and shared $975.

April 25-28:  The FLW Western Division at Clear Lake, Calif., was won by Jared Stone with 99 pounds, 14 ounces.  His kicker fish was a whopping 10 pounds, 12 ounces.  His win netted him a cool 25 Grand.

April 28:  The ABF Tournament at Roosevelt Lake at Windy Hill was won by the team of Mark Kile and C. Parsons.  They brought 24.13 pounds to the scale and earned a total of $4,400. 
 
April 28 The Anglers’ Choice Central Arizona Lake Pleasant tournament at Castle Creek was won by Mack and Mike Johnson with fourteen pounds.  They took home $760.

April 28:  Troy Crawford and Jennifer Paulson won the Monterey Couples tournament Sunday at Roosevelt Lake by weighing 12.46 with a Big Fish of 4.89.  They split $902. 

April 29: Mark Lester and Jon Ragsdale took first at the MBC Pro-Am at Roosevelt with a 12-pound sack and won a combined total of $2,035.

April 28: The Phoenix team of Tree and Jeff Pfundheller weighed a six-bass limit totaling 13.84 pounds including a 3.54-pounder to win $2,050 at the AllStar Bass Couples Tournament held at Bartlett.  They fished drop-shot rigs in 5 to 10 feet of water in the mid-lake area around Yellow Cliffs.

May 5:  The Mesa team of Ken Howden and Gary Understiller weighed a six-bass limit totaling 11.85 pounds including a 4.95-pounder to win the AllStar Bass Team Tournament at Roosevelt Lake. They shared a total of $3,013 and received the First Place trophies.  They fished swimbaits on flats in the Salt River arm and mainlake areas.

May 5:  Anthony and Frank Arrandale weighed in 16.85 pounds to win the last MBC Seniors Tournament of the season, held at the marina at Lake Pleasant.  Anthony also caught the 2nd place Big fish at 6.21 pounds.  The pair received checks totaling $3,166.

May 5: The  Anglers’ Choice tournament at Lake Powell was won by Jeff Davis and Cory Fitzpatrick.  They brought 16.61 pounds to the scales and took home $1,975.

May 12:  Al Robinson and Craig McCoy won the Anglers’ Choice tournament at Roosevelt with 20.32 pounds and pocketed $4,170. 

May 12:  George Lorz and Rod Nelson won $2,850 at the Best Bet tournament at Roosevelt with an 18.17-pound sack. 

May 12:  Dave Mitchell and Bob Porter brought five fish to the scales for 18.41 pounds to take first place at the WON Bass Colorado River Division at Alamo.  Their win was worth $2,023.

May 12:  The MBC Teams at the Lake Pleasant marina was won by Debra and Victor Cunningham.  They weighed in 15.70 for first place and also had second place Big Fish at 6.44.  Their checks totaled $4,603.
