Drowning Victim Recovered

Page, AZ – The body of Nancy Hoff, of Fruita, Colorado, was recovered today at approximately 12:30 pm by the National Park Service.

Hoff’s body was found in Lake Powell, at a depth of 387 feet, approximately 30-40 feet from her boat.

Hoff was 40 years old.

The body was recovered using the National Park Service’s underwater recovery vehicle.

Hoff drowned on Friday after her boat hit a wake at high speed, causing the hull to split.

National Park Service rangers are continuing to investigate the accident.

This is the fifth fatality of the year in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area and the third drowning.
