Boating Classes: A Good Start To The Boating Season

The Arizona Game and Fish Department’s eight-hour certified boater education class — which covers boat-registration requirements, state and federal boating laws, equipment requirements, navigation rules, boat trailering, aids to navigation (buoys), alcohol and boating accidents, and more — is scheduled at the following locations throughout the state in February.

Chandler:

Tuesday and Thursday; Feb. 14 and 16, 6 to 10 p.m. (must attend both nights). Chandler Police Dept. 250 E. Chicago Street. Cost $10 per person. To register call (602) 789-3235.

Glendale:

Tuesday and Thursday, Feb. 14 and 16, 6 to 10 p.m. (must attend both nights). Glendale Police Department, 6835 N. 57th Drive (south of Glendale Ave. on 57th). Cost $10 per person. To register call (602) 789-3235.

Saturday, Feb. 25, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Glendale YWCA, 8561 N. 61st. Ave. (North of Northern on 61st. Ave.) Cost $10 per person. To register call (602) 789-3235.

Lake Havasu City:

Parker:

Saturday, Feb. 18, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Boating Safety Training Center, 8484 Riverside Dr.

Patagonia:

Saturday, Feb. 25, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Patagonia Lake State Park Visitors Center. No fee.

Phoenix:
