The Aquatic Invasive Species Bill

To Be Heard By Committee Monday,June 22

The aquatic invasive species bill, HB2157, will likely be heard in the Senate Natural Resources, Infrastructure and the Public Debt Committee next Monday, which will also likely be its final committee hearing this session. The bill was 1st and 2nd read, where it was assigned to NRIPD.

The measure was only assigned to the natural resources committee in the senate (as opposed to appropriations as well), and if it passes committee it will move to the floor for consideration again. If successful on the floor, it will be ready to be transmitted to the governor for signature. Senate will be tougher.
