Take part in a spectacular cannon battle!  Climb aboard a tall ship and sail into a major battle. It's an experience the is unforgettable!

It�s time for all aspiring �Pirates of the Caribbean� and �Master and Commanders� to board their ships and head out on San Diego Bay for thrilling cannon battle reenactments. The revenue cutter Californian will be defending the harbor from invading ships, such as the privateer Lynx, the Spirit of Dana Point and other historic tall ships such as the HMS Surprise. You and your crew are invited on board to experience the thrill of combat at sea during the age of sail!

Cannon battle reenactments will take place over the two weekends of January 17th-18th  and 24th -25th from 1:00 � 4:00 p.m. each Saturday and Sunday. Ships depart from the Maritime Museum of San Diego on the Embarcadero.

January 17-18
: Join the fun and relive history as the Californian (the State of California's official tall ship) and America's Privateer Lynx do battle on San Diego Bay.

January 24-25: Four ships will be doing battle this weekend:  this state's official tall ship Californian, America's Privateer Lynx, Ocean Institute's Spirit of Dana Point, and the HMS Surprise.  (The HMS Surprise will not carry passengers but you can sail into battle against her.)

Tickets are from $35.00 to $55.00
Check-in is 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Ships board at 12:30 p.m. sharp
1:00 p.m. - ships depart
4:00 p.m. - ships return
 

Sail into an 1800's cannon battle! Travel back in time, board a tall ship and engage the "enemy".   It's an experience you won't soon forget.

CHECK-IN AND BOARDING:  Ships will not wait for late arrivals.  It is important that you arrive at least one hour before your scheduled departure time (to allow for parking, checking in, using the restroom, etc.).  No one will be allowed to check in after boarding begins at 12:30 p.m.  You can check-in any time after 9:00 a.m.

WHAT TO BRING:  If you are prone to sea-sickness, please take medication prior to departure.  It is a good idea to bring a hat, jacket, sunscreen, a camera, and ear protection. 

CHILDREN:  We do not recommend this experience for children 6 years and younger.
