The Mesa Police Explorers Post 2055 is a non-profit organization that is designed to provide training along with on-the-job experience for young people interested in a career in law enforcement. Not only do they learn about law enforcement, but they also become involved in their community. In 2009 the Explorers contributed 1,999 hours of community service, and, so far, in 2010 they have contributed 2,500 hours of service.

On October 23, 2010, the Mesa Police Explorers will be hosting an amateur bass fishing tournament at Roosevelt Lake.
