Port Of San Diego’s Day At The Docks Is The
West Coast’s Largest Public Celebration Of Sportfishing
A San Diego sportfishing tradition, The Port Of San Diego's Day At The Docks is
the West Coast's largest public celebration of sportfishing. Signaling the official
start of Southern California's spring saltwater fishing season, Day At The Docks takes place
on Sunday, April 19th against the colorful and dynamic backdrop of world reknown sportfishing
fleet on San Diego Bay.
Day At The Docks Takes Place at The Sportfishing Landings in Point Loma,
Harbor Drive and Scott Street, San Diego, CA.
The Port of San Diego’s Day at the Docks® is a free waterfront festival with
appeal for the whole family. Celebrating the official start of San Diego’s spring
saltwater sportfishing season, the fleet of 70 sportfishing boats in Point Loma will
provide the colorful backdrop to the day's events on The Big Bay. From 9 AM to 5 PM,
Day at the Docks® will feature open house aboard fleet vessels, boat rides around the bay,
casting contests, prizes, displays of fishing tackle, boats, apparel and art. There are
fishing seminars, cooking demonstrations, marine retailers, a stocked fishing area for
children, a hands on marine art contest for kids, music, food and live entertainment.
Admission to the festival is absolutely FREE. There is FREE parking on Shelter
Island with FREE, frequent shuttles to and from the festival. Complete information
