Cyclone LakeWhite Mountain Apache Reservation, Arizona

CycloneLocated west of Greer, Cyclone Lake is accessed via Highway 260 (Three-and-a-half miles south of Arizona 260 off Arizona 473 (Hawley Lake Road) and is at an elevation of 9,000 feet. There is safe drinking water along with fishing activities. This is a fee area and permits are required from the White Mountain Apache Tribe. White Mountain Game and Fish has closed Cyclone to the general public but has opened it to private groups and organizations though the Rent-a-Lake program. For $300 a day plus $3 a person per day, the lake is available completely stocked. The cost includes all necessary firewood for campfires and fishing permits.
